It was love at first sight for Mikayla and Nate, who describe themselves as perfectly different. Life has been wonderful, from that destined day at church when they locked eyes for the first time to the moment they became man and wife.
Their beautiful wedding at Montvale Event Center in downtown Spokane was dreamy with a beige and ivory color palette to go with the classic vintage theme. The couple was legally married in 2020, so this celebration with all their friends and family was what they called their “sequel wedding”. Nate had been away on deployment for a lot of their married life and of course, Covid had affected plans. So it was lovely to see this day turn out so blissfully perfect for them.

The bride’s dress was a figure-hugging lace gown from Marcella’s Bridal with so much intricate detailing and she carried a fantastic bouquet filled with flowers and dried pampas. She wore her hair down with a long veil and natural make-up by the talented Evelyn Mauro.
The groom looked handsome in his military uniform and was very emotional during the first look and ceremony. They both looked stunning. We love how devoted these two are to each other and their love shines, not just for each other but for their whole family.
The wedding ceremony included holy communion. They exchanged vows with the most sentimental words and kissed passionately as they were announced Mr. and Mrs. Baker.
There was a little rain, but our drone flew just in time to get that dramatic aerial footage of the cityscape and the video footage we captured of the couple in the historic downtown area was romantic and intimate. The rain actually meant fewer people on the street and lovely light, so we were happy to have this meaningful footage included in the wedding video.
That evening everyone celebrated with enthusiasm, dining, dancing, playing wedding games and enjoying seeing the newlyweds have the night of their lives. Glow sticks on the dance floor, modern neon signs and a high-energy bouquet toss were highlights of the night.
Special mention has to go to dad’s speech which was so touching. Describing Mikayla as his little girl and princess always, he talked about how proud he was of her. The couple added a very sentimental touch by thanking their parents for all they had done for them as children and adults. You could feel the love and gratitude throughout the ceremony and reception and it was major!
Working alongside photographers Corey and Kyha was such a refreshing and fun experience! (they are a husband and wife duo like us). All of the vendors were fantastic and we really felt blessed to be a part of Mikayla and Nate’s amazing wedding! As they zoomed off in their white Honda, we knew they had finally had the wedding of their dreams.
